I;m Ciara, when I photographed my first conference, I expected to enjoy the photography. What I didn’t expect was how much I’d enjoy the event itself.

There was an unexpected spark.

Watching hundreds of people come together with a shared purpose, seeing planners transform ordinary spaces into memorable experiences, and witnessing attendees reconnect with colleagues, exchange ideas and genuinely enjoy being together completely changed the way I looked at meetings and events.

Since then, that appreciation has only grown.

One of my favorite parts of this work is seeing the creativity behind every event. Every organization has its own personality and goals, and it’s fascinating to watch planners bring those ideas to life through thoughtful design, engaging experiences and meaningful opportunities for people to connect.

Perhaps what I appreciate most is something many people don’t think about.

For a few days, people step away from their daily routines. They leave their offices, classrooms, hospitals, job sites or boardrooms and spend time with others who share the same interests, challenges and passions. They learn from one another, reconnect with familiar faces, meet new people and leave with ideas and relationships they’ll carry long after the event ends.

Being trusted to document those experiences is something I genuinely enjoy and never take for granted.
